HCO and G.O. Ministries Partner to Bring Much Needed Food and Supplies to Emanual Christian School / Church in Port au Prince

Dear Friends and Partners,

RoRo and staff are busy helping others in Port-au-Prince with the few resources that we had left at the church and school. He reports very little aid being distributed by the large aid groups. Refugees and neighbors are needy but distributions are orderly and going well. Ro & I both established contact with Brian Parker, of Samaritan Air, who is helping us with his helicopters in Haiti. We connected with several Navy vessels that can move material from Santo Domingo around the southern coast to Jacmel on our behalf. Volunteers here have been evaluating shipping routes…and re-evaluating! At the same time I have been working diligently to open IMMEDIATE supply lines by air through Santiago, Dominican Republic with our partners at GO Ministries.

Through the late hours last night and early morning calls, emails and text messages, GO Ministries sent us a load of food this morning... However, there was a crash landing near Jacmel runway (the pilot is okay) but we did not get supplies from that load this morning. When it was discovered that we hadn’t gotten that load we arranged for another flight which arrived at 4:30pm CST. With 1,800lbs of food and water.
In the meantime at 4:02pm I received this text message from RoRo “Helo landing on top of church in PAP with load of rice.”

Two flights scheduled for Port-au-Prince--Our flights to Port-au-Prince with medical teams were canceled this week due to congestion at the airport. However, we have landing permits for this Tuesday and Thursday and donated flights for two groups flying in who will bring much needed antibiotics. Ginny Andrews will be flying in with this team and they plan to conduct clinic at the church.

Thank you for your generosity. If you want to work on collecting things for Haiti, please correspond with Todd Beavers @ tbeavers12@gmail.com. If you want to volunteer to go to Haiti in the future please sign up on the website at “Newsletter Signup” and make a note in the comment section about your interest and skills. We will get back to you as quickly as we can. Please continue to pray and keep this need in front of people. This will be a marathon, not a sprint.

Phil 1:3 I thank my God every time I remember you. In all my prayers for all of you, I always pray with joy because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now, being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.
4:14 Yet it was good of you to share in my troubles.

We praise God for your partnership!
